Sunny Corner

For those of you who need some catching up on your New Brunswick geography, Sunny Corner is a town up in the Miramichi. Simply the fact that Jesse used to play baseball there makes it important enough (as far as Jessmo is concerned) to write a tune about. As you can tell by the name, it's a pretty surreal little place- a place where you can really escape the hustle and bustle of everyday city life. And I guess that's what this tune's all about, for the most part- getting away from it all.

Sunny Corner     (J. Griffith)
You like to be friendly
While I like to be a friend
And Im not afraid anymore
From what Ive heard is in store
For sure...

I like to drive on the right
While they pass me in the light
And I been alone for so long
I just got to keep movin on
And on...

Why have I wasted my time
And why have I taken so long
Why have I wasted my time
And why have I taken so long

And as our story unfolds
Too many things left untold
Which ever way the wind blows
Will carry us past those strange echoes

The suns always around the corner
And it warms me hearing the laughter
On all the faces Ill remember
Through the nights weve spent together

Why have I wasted my time
And why have I taken so long
