Hummingbird Parade

The idea of writing a tune about a "Hummingbird Parade" came about at a party. I mean, hummingbirds have got to celebrate somehow. There must be a place where lost hummingbirds from any and all backgrounds can go to just let loose on a Saturday night. And if there isn't, there should be! Leave it to Jesse to get interested in the social behaviours of hummingbirds... Anyhow, this is yet another fantastic Griff tune, but don't forget to watch out for the funky outro, which was a TNB group effort. Also, for more info on hummingbirds, check this place out.

Hummingbird Parade     (J. Griffith)
I been lost for oh so long
While we were flying all alone
It's never too late to turn around
And fly back to home

Coming from town to town
Searching for a way to find
What lies beneath the skies
My troubles are all gone

Hummingbird parade
There's a barricade
All around the ocean
Hummingbird parade
Don't you ever fade away

And the warm river rushing down
Tries to swallow us all
And my fingertips go cold
But your smile is as gold

I have found my own this far
That road I mapped once before
And now I know which way is mine
The one on my mind

Hummingbird parade
There's a barricade
All around the ocean
Hummingbird parade
